Resource Guide
This comprehensive course of study is designed
to be as challenging and substantial as it is
fun. All grade levels can participate in self-guided
activities that meet Florida Sunshine State Standards
and coordinate with park attractions at Universal
Studios®
and Universal's Islands of Adventure®.
Lessons are designed to prepare for standardized
testing like the Florida Comprehensive Assessment
Test, encouraging students to analyze, synthesize
and evaluate information presented to them. Like
the FCAT, the guidebook includes science, math
and reading subject areas.
The complimentary guidebook includes pre-visit,
in-park and post-visit lessons. You’ll find
classroom activities and experiments that are
both fascinating and enlightening. While in the
park, students can enjoy Discovery Trail, a scavenger
hunt-like exercise that will sharpen students’
skills in research, interpersonal communication,
problem solving and more. After your park experience,
challenge students to a comprehensive test that
replicates the FCAT framework and completes the
Universal experience.
